PAT MIKESCH NAMED CAPTAIN OF 1995-96 MTU HOCKEY TEAM
Jason Wright and Kyle Peterson Selected As Alternate Captains

Houghton, Mich. -- Pat Mikesch, who has been the Michigan Tech hockey
team's leading point getter the past two seasons, has been named captain of
the 1995-96 MTU hockey team it was announced today by MTU head coach Bob
Mancini.
Mancini also named defenseman Jason Wright and forward Kyle Peterson as
alternate captains of the '95-96 squad.
"I look forward with great anticipation to next year," said Mancini, who
has completed three seasons as the ice boss of the Huskies. "Pat Mikesch
has proved to have all the qualities that a good captain needs to possess
and I believe he will do a great job in following in Brent Peterson's
footsteps as an outstanding leader for the Huskies.
"In addition to Pat, I think that Jason Wright and Kyle Peterson will help
make up as fine a trio of leadership as there will be in the WCHA next
year."
Mikesch, a senior next season, finished the '94-95 campaign with 15-28--43
and will begin his final year 10th all-time at MTU in career assists with
90. He was an All-WCHA Second Team selection as selected by the league's
players. Wright, a three-year regular on the blueline for MTU, will play
his final season in an MTU uniform next season, while Peterson will enter
his junior campaign in '95-96.
