Having pilfered Keith's CCHA playoff picture post, I will present here
the situation as it applies to Hockey East.  Any errors are mine.
 
#8 hosts #9 in preliminary round game.  Top four host bottom four
(including 8-9 winner) in single elimination quarterfinals.
