To the coaches defense.  I think that the coach needed to do what
he did.  I imagine the crime was a little more that just being late
to a practice or two.  They should have know that this was the "GLI"
and they were playing Michigan (winner of the last seven GLI's).  If
the coach has a discipline problem with seven freshman, he has to
deal with it by the book if he wants these seven freshman to learn
to be a team over they next four years at MTU.

They were in the stands with us to see the 13-0 whipping we took, and
if they didn't do what they did the night before, they will be
dressed for tonights game.  What may have been three hours wasted
for you, may turn out to be the spirit sparking move that MTU needs.
 
For me, there was hockey at the Joe for x-mas.  MTU was the "dark horse"
in last nights game.  With the 38 (?) shots we had on us, we could have
looked forward to a 3-0 loss.  The game wasn't forfieted by missing
the seven freshman as much as you think.  Some people were off in
the stands as others were off their game.
