        If ??? Edwards (the lone ref) is a CCHA official it will be a long season
for the officials as he was terrible.  He let the game get out of hand in
the late second and the game became quite chippy.  If he would have
called some minors someone for Guelph (couldn't see his # as he was
helped off the ice) would not have gotten hurt.
        Only one official seemed to hurt as many obvious called were
missed and you could just tell the linesmen wanted to call some stuff but
couldn't.  The penalties were not majors, but would have been called if
they were seen.  Thank goodness the game slowed down instead of becomeing
more physical as the sticks were raising as the game went on due to the
problem that many things were not being called.  I hope they get better
as the year goes on because they did leave a lot of room for improvement.
        Oh yeah, the score did not show anything as Guelph was clearly
outmatched by BG's speed and quality passing skills.
        On to Midnight Madness (oops hoops) and Michigan State for a
non-conference affair.  I wonder if this will be palyed like a normal
CCHA game or just an exibition???  I will just have to wait.
