        Paul Kariya ended a 14-month holdout and signed with
        the Anaheim Mighty Ducks according to WBZ television.
 
        I believe the two sides were about $800,000 apart on
        their proposals for a while (1.2 mil vs. 2 mil) so
        either somebody caved or they split the difference.
        Witchxxx Regardless of what the final figure was, this
        really showed how difficult Disney (who can afford big
        contracts more so than anyox any other NHL squdad) can
        be in contract negotiations. They are notorious for
        being the cheapskates of the entertainment industry.
