Neil Koepke of the Lansing State Journal asked Comley about this on the media
conference call. Rick's respond was basically that they had already
promised MSU home ice if they were selected (increasing ticket sales
even before the seeds were announced), so if they put them in the east,
a lot of MSU fans would have felt cheated.

Also, Comley stressed that they are committed to the regional concept, so
they are doing everything they can to make it work. "Rewarding" MSU and RPI
with home ice is one part of this process.
