I agree with Dave. I haven't seen any posts here flaming or being
harsh on Maine (well, except one - but, that was in reply to a
post that was asking for it); and, we've had enough trouble up
here in Alaska :), that we shouldn't be surprised if we got some.
Regarding seeding in HE: I like what Dave's suggesting. If Maine
is allowed in the HE playoffs, why not seed them based on their
actual record (without the forfeits), with one provision - they
don't get home ice, even if they finish 4th or 3rd. I don't think
the other HE teams can have much objection to this, since Maine
would've finished in the middle without the forfeits and the only
question would have been home ice. So they all still face opponents
similar to the ones they expected and Maine still pays by losing
home ice. And their official record can reflect the NCAA ruling.
What do you people think?
