UM-D's Jim Hubenschimdt had his shot deflected in by a UA defender at the 4:17
mark in sudden death overtime to win it for the Wolves.  Apparently, it also
hit goalkeeper Andy Ashare's glove before crossing the goal line.
 
Listening to the radio broadcast for the first period, I could tell that this
was a much better game to watch than the previous night's penalty-marred game.
Play was much crisper and both Andy Ashare and UM-D goalie Mark Tapp had big
saves.

Arizona had 3 almosts when one shot hit the crossbar and two shots hit goal-
posts.  A penalty shot was also awarded to UM-D when Ashare came out of the
crease to block a shot; the ensuing deflection dribbled towards the goal before
a UA defender fell on the puck in the crease.  The IceCats were whistled for
interference and a penalty shot was given to the Wolves.  Ashare, though, made
the save on the shot.  33 seconds later (in the third period), Jeremy Goltz
came up with the goal on a power play for the IceCats.
 
Arizona also failed to convert on two power play opportunities in the final
six minutes of play.
 
Dennis Hands, the #1 goalie for the IceCats, is out for 2-3 weeks with a leg
injury.
 
The 'Cats travel to Phoenix this weekend to take on the IceDevils in a hockey
doubleheader with a Phoenix IHL hockey game at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
