from last night's game notes, by Elliot Driben:

Terrier fans are now able to hear all BU hockey games, both
home and away and regular-season and tournament action, through an
arrangement with TEAMLINE phone service. By dialing an 800-number,
fans will hear Bernie Corbett, the Voice of the Terriers, broadcast the
live play-by-play action of the Terrier games. If you can't attend the game
or hear the actual broadcast on WBIV-AM 1060 (and most people outside
of Kenmore Square can't --Sid) you can dial 800-846-4700, enter the Terriers'
access code of 1155, and you will be able to listen to the game. The cost
(yes, even though this is an 800 number it is *not* toll-free :( will be
charged to your Visa of MasterCard. Using a declining rate card, you pay
less per minute the longer you listen (supposedly). The initial cost is
50 cents per minute and as low as 20 cents per minute. A three-hour call,
which will include the pregame show (with commentary by coach Jack Parker),
as well as a two-and-a-half-hour game, would cost approximately $36.00 (yeech!).
The agreement with TEAMLINE will run the rest of this year, and at least the
1993-94 season.

They just had a thing about this in last night's notes, thought it would
arouse some curiosity. Has anyone heard of any other schools doing something
like this?
