From my understanding, no, the cage is part of the rink, like the ice,
boards, the glass, or the ref.

I believe that Eruzione was right, that it  WOULD have made a difference if
Jonas had touched it, but contrary to Mike E, it was pretty clear to me that
Jonas didn't.

BTW, Mike Eruzione is IMO, the most annoying color man around.
