In all contact sports, there is a premium on fast, rough play with the
fans "oooohing and aaaahing" at the big hits....look at the number of
concussions in football with developed technology in headgear.....remove
facemasks and the players will do more to protect their faces and will
not consider or risk crashing head first into the glass or boards and we
will have less neck and head injuries...in that regards, it seems that
the NHL refs in the playoffs are letting flagrant, serious fouls
go....somebody is going to get seriously hurt or killed and then there
will be a hue and cry for tighter controls for the game...you can see it
coming.....all the do gooders will have a free for all stumbling over
themselves decrying the violence in hockey
