While checking out broadcast times of games on the MSC website, I
noticed a link to the following story.
Woog: Staying Or Going?
We'll Know After The NCAA Tourney Ends In April
MINNEAPOLIS, Posted 8:28 p.m. March 23, 1999 --
The future of Minnesota men's hockey coach
Doug Woog won't be decided until after the NCAA
tournament ends on April 3.
The Golden Gophers ended their season last weekend
with a 7-4 loss to Colorado College in the third-place
game of the WCHA Final Five Tournament in at the Target Center.
Men's athletic director Mark Dienhart says he and Woog agreed
to meet after the tournament to discuss whether Woog will return
for a 15th season as Gophers coach.
Woog has a contract that renews annually upon the approval of
the athletic director.
From the last sentence, sounds like this is really no big major
development in the great scheme of Woog bashing. However, interesting
nonetheless. Stay tuned....
