Hi All and Ralph:

To add even more ancient history, which I may have mentioned years ago in
the previous cycle of this topic :-) ....

In the early 60s, RPI, headed for an NCAA 3rd place finish, I believe,
had American International College (AIC) on their schedule as a breather
(there were no power ratings in those ancient days). Midway thru the 2nd
period the score was 15-0 not in favor of AIC, when a huge fight
broke out (not unexpectedly), taking about half of each team out with game
misconduct penalties.. I recall the equipment manager for RPI got to skate
that nite. In addition, I think the backup goalie played forward for most
of the rest of the game. The latter half ended up a 2-2 tie for a 17-2
victory for RPI. Ah, yes, the good old days :-) It was almost as much
fun as watching Casey Stengel in a long extra inning game, move Mickey
Mantle to shortstop and Hank Bauer to catcher :-)
