Cornell remains on top of the ECAC as they dusted travel partner St
Lawrence twice at home. New Hampshire jumped into second place as they
won the battle of the unbeatens with Northeastern. The Huskies have to
settle for a third place tie with Dartmouth, for now. Brown seems to
have it back together, as they had a pair of fine road wins to move up the
league ladder. Providence, who has two players away with the USA national
side, and had their best goalie transfer to Maine, seems on a slide.
Marchetti magic struck early, as the current Yale coach beat his former
powerhouse team PC 5-3. What a great win for the Elis - the first ever
over the Friars!
There are few games until the start of the new year, but the highlight of
next weekend will be the Boston derby between travel partners Harvard and
Northeastern. The home and home series features two league games, and an
occasion I am looking forward to.
