There is a rather long article in the March 7, 1997 _Chronicle of Higher
Education_ devoted to college hockey (pages A40-A41).  The article
indicates that college hockey is ready to explode onto the national
scene among other things.
 
Everyone might want to check it out, especially you Univ of Mich fans.
There are two pictures, one of the fans at Yost and the other of UM's
Frescoln and LSSU's Lane at the LSSU/UM games at UM recently.
