This weekend marks the beginning of the seventh year of Hockey-L.  In
April of 1990, "College_Hockey" moved from its original home (Mike
Machnik is creator of the college hockey list(s)) to U Maine System.
 
From a subscription list of about 75, the lists have grown to serve more
than a thousand, with several thousand readers (due to several local
redistributions).
 
Newbies to the lists can find a more complete history in the archives
(or maybe you can coax it out of MikeM again :-)).
 
My thanks to Mike (Info-Hockey-L), Pete (Hockey3) and Bill (Hockey-L)
and all the others that contribute their time, ideas and expertise to
make the lists a great resource.
