Unfortunately (for us local hockey fans, that is) the University of
Minnesota seems to putting its main effort into bidding for (and getting)
NCAA hoop playoffs. That Final Four thing will be in Minneapolis sometime
in the next few years, as well as various regionals. The Women's Final Four
was in Mpls. last year. So far as I know, they have not bid for any hockey
regionals.

1997 Milwaukee
1998 Boston
1999 Anaheim

I've heard that St. Paul is bidding for the 2000 and 2002 Phinal Phours.
