It's been documented before by Bob DeGregorio (Hockey East Commissioner)
that should Maine win the Hockey East Tournament, then the automatic bid
will be in effect wasted.
 
However, Hockey East is still assured two bids (BU, and UML should Maine
win) to the NCAA Tournament.
