i'm too far to actually go see a game, but i always check the box
scores of the michigan games. i'm concerned about the goaltending
so far this year. it seems that marty turco is averaging about 15
saves per game. i guess that says some pretty good things about the
defense.

my question is: is turco giving up goals that were meant to
go in, or does he give up a lot of cheap goals?

how does turco's save percentage affect the team. i remember watching
games at yost (a charming place, imo) when shields was still playing
there. he seemed to give up a lot of cheap goals on relatively few shots
as well. i just remember how let down i felt after the opposing team would
score on every fourth shot.

any and all comments are welcome.
