I believe it was the last time the Gophers and Huskies met last year up in
Houghton, a Saturday afternoon game during Winter Carnival, when a huge
brawl broke out and Jay Moser, a Gopher defensman, got the crap beat out
of him. He almost lost an eye. I've always been a little disappointed in
the fact that goalie Jeff Moen was standing right next to him when he was
getting beat up, but did little to help his teammate.
 
I guess it just goes to show in recent years, Gopher players just aren't
that great of brawlers.
