According to an article in Michigan Hockey Magazine:
 
Oakland University and the City of Auburn Hills are teaming up to study the
feasibility of building a new ice arena on the university's campus. This is
being considered as part of a move to Division 1 by the school. The
vice-chairman of the OU Board of Trustees was qouted as saying the new arena
could enable OU to achieve athletic success similar to Michigan State and
University of Michigan.
 
My personal thoughts are that I hope they decide to go for it. I think that
we have to keep developing new markets for the good of the game.
