With all of the talk about the 'perseverence rating' of a given goaltender
I remembered a certain axiom that we use in my job:
 
"You can make statistics say anything you want them to!"
 
Keep this mind as sometimes tend to overanalyze theinngs a bit!  ;-)
 
As a practicing Chem Eng, I too have been guilty of this.
