fairbanks 2 5 2 9
Air force 1 0 1 2

air force lead, getting a soft goal on a shot from the point that
trickeld through moberg's pads, and held the lead until late in the
period when the nanooks got their first of nine in a row.

the falcons remained in the game for about 12 seconds of the second
period until fairbanks opened the gap to two. The only issues
were whether pat kielb would be pulled (he wasn't) and whether
fairbanks would get to double figures (they didn't)

in the third, both nanook goals were short handed goals (on the same
penalty) i suspect that's a record, but the falcon media guide does
not list the "fastest two shorthanded goals" stat.

for the nanook faithful, i visited with center greg milles before the
game and after the second period. he seemed a lot happier during the
latter visit.
