The Princeton Tigers defeated RPI friday night, 9-1. The box was
posted to list earlier, so I won't repeat it here.

This was one the best games I have seen the Tigers play in the 8
years I've been following them. They played 60 minutes of solid hockey
at both ends of the ice. Even with an 8 goal lead in the third period,
they did not let up, they still skated and checked hard. 8 different
Tigers scored, with Soph Joey Pelle tallying a pair of goals. Senior
Ian Sharp had a goal and 3 assists. The defense limited RPI to only 18
shots. This was a team effort in every sense of the word. Every Tiger
line played hard, they put a ton of pressure on RPI's goalie. At the other
end of the ice, they never let RPI establish an offensive flow.

The only downside to the evening was the injury to RPI captain Adam Bartell.
He was trying to stop Casson Masters when Masters stumbled after trying to
fake Bartell. The two of them got tangled up and rolled into the boards behind
the RPI net. Bartell started to get up, then fell and did not get up from
the ice for a few minutes. He was helped off the ice by the trainer and his
teammates, and did not return to the game. I hope he is not seriously hurt.

Princeton is now 6-5 overall, the first time in 10 years that they been
above 500 eleven games into a season. More importantly, they've won 4
straight ECAC contests. The last time they did that was in the 67/68
season.

The Tigers host Union at 6pm tonight, I hope they don't have a big let
down.
