Of all the coaches at Hockey east media day, Lowell coach
Bruce Crowder seemed the most pessimistic about his team. It
appears he is not at all thrilled about the play of his
goaltending through the first two weeks of training camp.
"None of the four goaltendrers we have are grabbing the
No.1 job," Crowder said.
He added he would not be opposed to rotating any and all
of them through the first two or three months of the season.
The given star play ifxx of Chris Imes aside, Maine coach
Shawn Walsh said the key to his team this year will be the
play of sophomores Dan Shermerhorn, Reg Cardinal and
Trevor Roenick. He admitted he was disappointed in the rookie
years of all three and the nxx team needed bigger things out
of them this year to go anywhere.
"They need to get into that 40-point range," he said.
