While the Bulldogs of UMD have not had any first round draft picks on their
rosters, (3 2nd rounders, 4 3rds and 8 4ths) it doesn't necessarily mean that
we haven't had great players. For example, Brett Hull was not taken til the
6th round and Derek Plante was in the 8th round, tom Kurvers in the 10th.  I
am sure there could be lists like this at any school, but I guess I am trying
to say that _sometimes_ 1st round picks aren't all they are cracked up to be.
