Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press says that Mahtomedi HS coach Jeff
Whisler is a candidate to coach at his alma mater, Providence.  Whisler led
Mahtomedi to the Class A State Tournament this year (and to the Tier II version
in 1992).  He also coached Hill-Murray to state tournaments (the real one) in
1988 (runners-up) and 1991 (champs).  He won the John Mariucci Coach of the Year
Award in 1991.
 
Walters also says that former Gopher Mike Antonovich (who coached St. Cloud
Cathedral to the Class A tourney this year) is a candidate to assist Frank
Serratore with the Minnesota Moose of the IHL.  Aren't they both from Coleraine?
