Just to avoid a misread or misunderstanding (I just got this back to me and
read it), when I wrote:

I did not mean this to sound callous or cold.  What I mean is that I have no
idea what Steve is going to be up to now, and it is purely his decision.
What job he chooses or any other future plans, unless it involves hockey, is
neither my nor anyone else's business.  Having just talked to Steve Thurs
evening (playing softball), I have no idea what's up for his future, but he
was definitely happy for Phil.
 
I just read my message and realized that it did not come off the way I meant
it to, so I wanted to send this clarification.
