I apologize for the post that just came from me which repeated Lou Jacques'
post without adding anything.  Occasionally, when there is line noise, the
Merrimack mail system sees fit to kick me off and mail off a copy of my
incompleted message.
 
I meant to state that as far as I know there is no such policy banning
visiting bands from all HE rinks, but there is not as much band tradition
in HE as there is in, say, the ECAC.  So, it is not that surprising that
visiting bands don't tend to travel.  Also, two HE schools don't even have
bands on a consistent basis - Merrimack has no band (just got an organ
player, though), and Lowell only occasionally has a band show up.
