Someone commmented during the final five that the goalie equipment in the
pros was going to be scaled back a bit and be the same size as college. If
you look at the goalies in college hockey this season there isn't a lot of
room to score even on a smaller goalie like Jordan Parise. The equipment is
way too big. It can make a bad goalie good.

That said, something /could/ be done by way of cutting down on the size of
the appliances that goalies use in the here-and-now.  I can understand
protection, but some of those goalies go better than 4 x 6 when they
stretch out.  It can make it tough to score.  Or maybe a larger net would
be good?
