My understanding is that the Dartmouth athletic dept. offered to pay the band
to be full-time for the winter sports (bball and hockey), but that the band
turned down the money and remained a volunteer/for fun only in the winter (they
are full time for football season in the fall).

As well, It is spring break for us, which is probably why even if the band were
full-time they probably wouldn't make it to Albany anyway.
