         A quick examination of the archive listing for HOCKEY-L shows a steeply

I agree. I have a tendency to avoid the USCHO board because it seems to be dominated by Hockey East adolescents who seem intent on proving that one's intellectual levels can consistently be exceeded by one's testosterone levels.
 
But, if one has the perserverance to sift through the chaff in search of the wheat, one finds that there are a significant number of posters on that board who are intelligent and have excellent insight into the game and their own school's team.
 
Perhaps USCHO's bulletin board is a good example of the price we have to pay to maintain our freedom of speech.
