according to today's milwaukee journal-sentinel, kaj linna, who was
playing with the ihl's milwaukee admirals, announced
his retirement from hockey yesterday. he suffered a severe concussion
after being hit by joe frederick (of grand rapids and formerly nmu) and an
mri revealed a lesion on his brain. doctors recommended he retire from
hockey -- this was his third concussion. frederick was suspended four
games for the hit.
