During the 2nd Intermission of home UND games they have the "Ever Popular
Turkey Bowling." The zamboni comes onto the ice and paves a swath from one
goal to center ice. Then, 3 contestants each attempt to bowl their frozen
turkeys into the net. If they manage to score, their name will be entered
into a drawing for a vacation trip or something.
They also set up three bowling pins in front of the net, and for each pin
they knock over, they put another slip of paper containing their name in the
vacation hat.
They stopped shooting pucks at small holes ever since someone won last year.
