Certainly an interesting topic - and one which will be hard to pin down.
 
I honestly think my most memorable moment was the first time I ever walked
into the Garden. It followed the first time I had ever been in the city of
Boston proper, and I loved the atmosphere so much, I knew where I wanted to
live after I graduated from college. It was the ECAC championships in 83-84
and we had spent a long day exchanging barbs with fans from Clarkson, BU and
BC. We then proceded over to North station and up the ramps, into the Garden
itself. I just remember instantly looking up and being in awe of the banners
that I saw above - B's and Celtics both. Watching RPI win in that building for
some reason made it extra special. The games weren't all that spectacular, but
I do remember against Clarkson, Adam Oates sending John Carter all alone to
break a 4-4 tie in the 3rd, sending RPI to the win. So, it's really not a
moment, but the whole larger than life atmosphere of the Garden itself that I
remember most.
 
Let me tack on, I can't wait to sit in a state of the art facility to watch
future Beanpots, HE games and the 98 NCAA's. It really is/was time for the
Garden to go.
