He already did.  I'm sure he got either a 5 minute major or a game suspension
for slashing.  That's what the rules call for and that's what should be
assessed.  To bring this to a higher court is ridiculus.  While it's certainly
regrettable that anyone died in a hockey game (especially as the result of
a slash), hockey IS a contact sport and it's one where tempers flair.  Players
should NOT be held legally liable for injuries inflicted on the ice, even if
the action results in another player's death.
