From the 1993 Michigan Hockey Dekers Awards Banquet:

Carl Isaacson Award (Student Athlete): Dan Stiver, RW, Sr
Howard Colby Award (Sportsmanship): Mike Stone, F, Jr
Dekers Club Award (Colorful Rookie): Kevin Hilton, C, Fr
Alton D Simms Award (Most Improved): Mike Knuble, RW, So
Vic Heyliger Award (Outstanding Defenseman): David Harlock, D, Sr
Hazel M "Doc" Losh Award (Leading Scorer): David Roberts, LW, Sr
Hal Downes Award (Most Valuable Player): Steve Shields, G, Jr

Shields was deserving for MVP. He also could have been in the running
for most improved. Roberts won the Doc Losh Award for the second time
(as a freshman and senior!). Patrick Neaton was All-CCHA first team
and Chris Tamer was All-CCHA honorable mention, but David Harlock was
named outstanding defenseman for the second consecutive season. It
goes to show what his teammates (who do the voting) think of him, and
just how underrated he is. Coach Red Berenson hinted that not only was
Harlock the most underrated defenseman in the nation, but he was the
best defenseman in the nation! I know, it's easy to sit back and say
this type of thing about an outgoing senior at the awards banquet, but
Harlock is deserving. I'll stand by my assessment of last season and
reiterate that Harlock is the best collegiate player I've ever seen in
a Michigan uniform.

Berenson also announced that senior forwards Cam Stewart and Brian
Wiseman will be co-captains in 1993-94.

As for future plans of the six graduating seniors:

David Harlock announced that he will pursue his MBA or enter Law School.
When he'll have time to do this, I don't know, because he also announced
that he will be playing with the Canadian Olympic Team next season and
I have to believe he has a solid NHL career ahead of him (New Jersey).

David Roberts had joined Team USA for the World Championships in Germany
and will try out for the 1994 Olypics. His NHL rights belong to St Louis.

Patrick Neaton will also be in camp with the USA Olympic Team. Neaton's
rights are with Pittsburgh.

Chris Tamer will be joining the Penguin organization.

Dan Stiver (Toronto) and Mark Ouimet (Washington) expressed a desire to
continue to play hockey for as long as they can, at whatever level their
skills will allow. Both are talented enough for a cup of coffee in the
NHL, with the nod going to Ouimet for his outstanding speed.
