I don't know whether or not Brown "deserved" a bid over RPI or not.  What I
do know is that an impressive performance by RPI in the ECACs would have
assured them a bid.
 
In the first round they were nearly ousted by Colgate.  That probably would
not have mattered if they had managed just one win at Lake Placid.  The fact
of the matter is, though, that with their fate in their own hands they
managed to lose both games.  Yes, they were playing good teams, but just
because you are losing to good teams does not mean you should go to the
playoffs.
 
So - no more complaining.  RPI had a chance to ensure a bid and they messed
up.  No excuses and better luck next year.

P.S. At least you didn't have to suffer through a year like Cornell had.
