Four Teams Set for ECAC Men's Hockey League Championship Weekend
ALBANY, N.Y. - The championship field has been set for the 2005 ECAC Men's
Hockey League Tournament, and Cornell Harvard, Colgate and Vermont will be
coming to the Pepsi Arena March 18-19 to determine the league champion.
As the #1 seed, Cornell will play the early semifinal game on the 18th,
taking on #4 Vermont at 4:30 p.m. Semifinal No. 2 will feature #2 Harvard and #3
Colgate at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the 19th, the third-place game will start
at 5 p.m. followed by the championship final at 8 o'clock.
Cornell advanced to the semifinals after defeating Clarkson 5-0 and 3-2 (ot)
in the quarterfinals. Harvard and Colgate also swept their quarterfinals.
The Crimson downed St. Lawrence 2-0 and 3-2, while the Raiders defeated Brown
4-1 and 3-0. Vermont was the last to earn its spot in the semifinals, after
needing three games to get past Dartmouth. The Catamounts dropped the first
game of the best-of-three series 3-2 before rallying to win games two and three
with 3-2 (ot) and 2-1 scores, respectively.
This year marks the 44th ECACHL championship tournament. Cornell has won the
most titles with 10, most recently in 2003. Harvard is the defending tourney
champion and has six titles, while Colgate is in search of its second and
Vermont is looking for its first. The winner of the tournament receives an
automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

All-session passes for adults are $46 each and covers all four weekend
games. Child all-session passes for those aged 14 and under are $24. Single
session tickets are also available for $25 for adults and $12 for children 14 an
