In response to Pat Flemming who commented that the Poles used packing tape to
keep their pads on:

I am in agreement with you on how good it is to see the Poles win a game, and I
recognize that they participated in the Olympics under the severest economic
constraints, but the use of packing tape to keep pads is not that far-fetched!

I play on a team in the City League at Bloomington, Indiana and several of the
members of my team also use packing tape to keep their pads on. Paul, a
student in optometry, said he used to use athletic tape, but he finds that the
packing tape does a much better job.

I have not yet tried it myself, but others on the team have, and they all agree
with Paul. The Poles may know something we don't!
