In the WCHA the OT for the playoffs must be 10 min per OT period.  And yes
every game goes to a winner.
 
Remember back to the 92 playoffs for the UMD@CC series
 
Game 1 22nd longest game 81:11  CC 7 UMD 6 3OT
Game 2                          UMD 4 CC 3  OT
Game 3 11th longest game 83:57  CC 5 UMD 4 3OT
 
I remember watching these games while trying to study for a test.  I did
about as well as my team, went the distance but just didn't have it.
