With all the talk of hockey venues, and loud arenas, I figured this would be
a good time to get some of your opinions. As I said to someone, Maine
hockey is big in this part of the state. As someone put it, it is the only
real show in town, though the UMaine women's basketball team is actually
filling the Alfond, but still behind hockey. Up until I came to school
here, the only hockey I watched was at the Cumberland Country Civic Center
watching the Mariners, and now Pirates, and only few Black Bear games there.
The first thing that struck me about Alfond Arena, was how knowledgable the
fans are, and that was wonderfull. For anyone who has ever been to a game
here, or played here, what do you think the most imposing part of the Alfond
is, and how would you rank it amoung Hockey East venues?
