at #5 Dartmouth 6, #12 Harvard 3. (Dartmouth wins series 2-1)
Harvard took a 1-0 lead late in the first, but Dartmouth responded
with three goals in each of the last two periods to cruise to the 6-3
win. Brad Schierhorn had the first and last goals for Dartmouth, with
Tim O'Brien, Eric Robinson, Nick Bligh and Dustin Walsh adding one
each. Luke Greiner had two for Harvard, both unassisted, while Desmond
Bergin had the Crimson's third and final goal. Charles Grant picked up
the win for Dartmouth, making 28 saves. Raphael Girard started, but
was yanked after Dartmouth's fourth goal. He stopped 20 of 24 shots,
while Peter Traber stopped 5 of 6 in relief.
The ECAC quarterfinals are Cornell at Quinnipiac, Brown at RPI, SLU at
Yale and Dartmouth at Union. All the games are Friday, Saturday and
Sunday, and all are currently listed as 7 p.m. starts.
