Actually, (and I don't remember where I saw this, might have been
The Hockey News) it's RPI that's going to need a travel partner. The
ECAC had already decided to reorganize the travel pairings to:
Vermont-Dartmouth, Harvard-Brown, Yale-Princeton, and RPI-Army.
Clarkson-St. Lawrence and Cornell-Colgate would remain the same. No
announcement yet what effect Army's withdrawal will have on these plans.
 
The only rumors I have heard of possible additional teams are the same
ones that have been circulating on the network, mainly Union and RIT.
Geographically, Union would be a perfect fit. RIT, at the extreme western
edge of the league, would probably have to travel with Cornell,
leaving Colgate paired with RPI. I think the league could manage either
way.
