Maine defeats UMass-Lowell 4-0 in a Sunday afternoon matchup.

Shephard, Barnes, Shields and Ryan were the goal scorers for Maine,
while Frank Doyle rebounded from a shaky performance last week with a
shutout. The Black Bears moved to 9-2-0 (4-2-0 in HE) with the win.

Maine will play at Massachusetts and Providence next weekend. In a
schedule oddity, Maine will have played 8 league games at the end of
next weekend -- one vs. each Hockey East team.

Lowell is now 4-4-2 (2-3-0 HE) and will next play a home-and-home with
Boston University.
