Based on current USHL information, it appears that the season of juniors is
sufficient to satisfy the one-year of sitting out , even for a player who
has played for the first team. Jon Maruk went from UAA-UAHL-Notre Dame in 3
seasons. Ben Tharp was with Minnesota last year, Chicago Steel this year
and Miami next.

Subject: NCAA rules question
Hopefully there are still a few rules mavens out there who can answer this
question or point me to some appropriate link...
What are the rules regarding players who switch from college hockey to
juniors
(not *major* juniors) and back again? For example, what if a player leaves
college during the season for a junior team... can he then play for a
different college the following year, or would this be considered a
"transfer"
under NCAA rules, thus mandating sitting out for a year? (if both colleges
involved are Div. I) And does the answer to this question depend on whether
or not the player actually played or suited up for his college team before
leaving for the juniors?
