Mark Bavis, whose twin brother Mike is an assistant at BU, was travelling
with former Bruin Garnet "Ace" Bailey. More detailed accounts of this angle
can be found at:

I did not know Mark well; I only met him once or twice. I therefore cannot
add anything profound to this particular aspect of a discussion about
something that has deeply changed our nation and all of our lives. Mark's
death saddens me, as would anyone's whose life I have followed in some small
way. I pray for his family and I pray that the terror he and his
co-passengers endured was brief.
God bless America.

Subject: Tradegy
It has taken long for the tradgedy to hit college hockey.
Mark Bavis of BU fame, Harvard asst. coach and currently of LA Kings
scouting was on the United flight out of Boston. He was traveling with a
fellow scout for the Kings which I did not catch his name, sorry.
