I would like to be enlightened on this subject. Can anyone point to where
"NCAA has repeatedly stated that only games between tournament-eligible
teams are relevant to the "selection procedure""? Of course, they aren't
included in the mathematics; but, it is MHO that it is illogical for the
selection committee to be told to ignore any NCAA game that a team under
tournament consideration has played. And as a sportsman, I just can't
accept that any coach or team doesn't try as hard as possible to win every
game. Yes, they schedule "weaker" opponents for the purpose of giving
their own less experienced players an opportunity for playing time, but
that is done with their own future in mind. When push comes to shove, I
can't believe that they will not do whatever it takes to get the win.

I would also like to be pointed to the specific NCAA position on new D1
programs. Please don't post any "I've been told" statements unless you can
provide specific NCAA names and titles. It is my understanding and the
apparent understanding of the Alabama in Huntsville and Wayne State
athletic departments (as indicated by their information releases) that they
are both are D1 programs. UAH was tournament ineligible because it was
only in its second year as a D1 program, and WSU was tournament ineligible
because this was their inaugural season.

Thanks in Advance,
Terry
