There are all kinds of problems that various people have with Hockey-L,
including (but definitely not limited to) flames, insults, stubborness and
the dreaded scores in the subject line.

For me, the fact that it exists and I enjoy the list greatly makes dealing
with any slight crap more than bearable. Using a decent email client makes
it wonderful.

If you really do depend on emailr for your work -- as most of us do -- then
why not use an email client that is designed for you? Instead, you'd rather
have the rest of us change the way we like using Hockey-L to suit your needs.

I'm sick and tired of hearing people whine about certain posters, scores in
the subject line or about the same topic over and over again... it's an
open forum. Being an electronic one, there are various ways to deal with it.

Just about any professional email client, including many free ones, offer
FILTERING features. All you need to do is set the hockey mail to move to
it's own folder, and auotmatically delete any subject line that you don't
feel like reading. For me that means deleting any mail about women's
hockey, shaun walsh, and a (very) few individuals whose mail I prefer not
to read.

in other words, find a way to DEAL WITH IT.
