Before 2900 fans Army got on the Board early and then pulled away from UMass.
Both teams entered the contest with 2 wins in D1 (Army is now 8-9) and each
had lost four ot five one goal games. Army got outstanding offense from Andy
Lundbohm (2 goals) Greg Buckmeier; Jason Choi; and Ian Tyson. Soph Corey Winer
played the frist 2 periods in net before reinjuring his hamstring and gave way
to Daryl chamberlain in the 3rd period.
UMass seemed intent on using its size and speed to attempt to run Army out of
its own building. The Cadets discipline combined with sharp net play and good
team defense & an opportunistic offense did the Minutemen in.
